Influencer brings homeless people to his home, buys them clothes and feeds them, but many wonder… what happens afterward?
The help looks beautiful on camera: a homeless person enters a house, takes a shower, eats something hot, receives new clothes, and for a few hours feels treated with dignity again.
That is what many have seen in Yair Brachiyahu’s videos. But with the case of Eddie, a homeless man whom he helped in that way, an uncomfortable question emerged: what happens when the video ends?
For some, the gesture was noble. For others, it left the feeling that the help lasted only as long as the content did. “Ok Eddie, it’s time to go. The content has already been published! Goodbye, Eddie”, one person commented in a critical tone.
The question is not whether giving food, clothes, or a roof for one night is wrong. The question is another one: when someone’s pain goes viral, does the help really change anything… or does it only ease things for a few hours before returning to the same place?
