”Listen to me and listen to me good, ’cause I ain’t gonna say it twice! You sittin’ up here cryin’ over somebody that walked out on you? Look, people are just like the leaves on a tree. Some people come into your life like leaves—they only there for a season. As soon as the cold wind blows or winter comes, they turn withered and they pass on by. And you cannot be gettin’ upset over no leaves that fallin’ off!
Some other people are like branches. You gotta be careful with them, ’cause they will deceive you. They look real strong, but if you go and put all your weight on ’em, they gonna break and leave you fallin’ flat on the ground.
But, thank the Lord, there are some people that are like the roots. You can’t see ’em, they deep down in the dirt, but they the ones keepin’ you standing when the biggest storms come. So wipe them tears, get yo’ butt up, and if whoever left tries to come back around… just remember I always keep somethin’ ready in my purse to remind ’em where the exit is! Hallelu-YUH!”
